Château CHEVAL BLANC & YQUEM DINNER

This event took place in Singapore at The Grand Hyatt Hotel, in the company of Pierre Lurton, CEO of both Château Cheval Blanc and Château d’Yquem and long-time friend of FICOFI.

We chose with him to feature 4 vintages - 1972, 2000, 2005 and 2006 – to illustrate the greatness of the terroir of Château Cheval Blanc allowing us to go deep in the heart of the estate, going through the different style of all these vintages. 2006 and 1972, both coming from colder and rather wet vintages but showing brilliantly, than 2005 and 2000 on opposition coming from hot vintages. As time passes, the greatest terroirs are able to overcome whatever obstacles nature has presented during the year and provide superb wines.

This also gave us the opportunity to taste “Y d'Yquem” 2013, the fantastic dry white wine from Château d'Yquem before ending our evening with Château d’Yquem 1987.
