Eric RIEWER
Eric Riewer
Eric Riewer's knowledge and passion for wine, and all things French (well, almost all things), were encouraged and developed early on in his life by an uncle whose own life had become entwined with France when he landed on Utah Beach on June 6th 1944. This same uncle brought to the family table once a month the greatest wines that his school teacher's salary could afford back in the fifties and sixties: Latour, Lafite, Margaux, and even La Romanée Conti.

Eric's wine experiences continued in France, starting in 1976 first, during a spell at Domaines Ott in the south and then at the famed Academy of Wine run by Steven Spurrier in Paris. He is also a contributor to the leading French wine magazine, la Revue du vin de France and has recently co-authored a book on wine for French publisher, Flammarion.
