George Lepré


George Lepré was born in Agen in 1942. His impressive career includes the following appointments: Head Sommelier and Maître d'Hôtel at the Grand Véfour in Paris from 1966 to 83; Maître d’Hotel at la Couronne in Pasadena, USA in 1983 and Head Sommelier from 1983 to 1993; Director of l'Espadon, the Ritz Hôtel restaurant, in 1992; Director of Professional Studies at the Académie du Vin de Paris from 1985 to 1993, and the Ritz International Wine Manager from 1989 to 1993.

He has written many books including : The Wine Cellar Book, Château Margaux, le Ritz, magie d'un palace et de ses vins, Le Vin en son Palais.
