CHÂTEAU SUDUIRAUT

At the end of the 17th Century the Comte Blaise de Suduiraut rebuilt the house and re-established the vineyard which had been devastated during the Fronde wars. A little later, the magnificent gardens designed by Le Nôtre were completed.
Suduiraut has belonged to AXA Millésimes since 1992, a group which already includes a string of leading Bordeaux châteaux, such as Château Pichon-Baron or Château Petit-Village, and also owns an estate in Portugal - Quinta do Noval - and in Hungary's Tokaj region, Disznóko.

The Suduiraut estate covers 200 hectares of which 90 are planted on a sandy clay-gravel soil. Small yields ensure optimum concentration of sugars.

The wines of Château Suduiraut are elegant, sweet and full-bodied with a remarkable life-expectancy. They are a beautiful gold colour with amber tints with age. Tastes of honey and roasted grapes give Suduiraut sensuality and make them very agreeable to drink, while lovely floral notes give them great finesse.
